CCSU statement on Alice Lundy, Union President

Alice Lundy Steps Down as Students' Union President

Christ Church Students' Union (CCSU) announces that Alice Lundy will be stepping down as Students' Union President on 9th February 2024.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to Alice for her dedicated leadership and tireless efforts in her time as Students’ Union President, and during her studies as the Disabled Students’ Officer. Alice's unwavering commitment to academic representation, her ability to advocate effectively, and her collaborative spirit have earned her the respect and admiration of both students and staff alike across the Union and University.

Since being elected, Alice has consistently championed the needs and interests of our student body, advocated for our Nursing and Midwifery students, helped secure additional funding for the CCSU Campus Pantry, and launched her personal campaign about Academic Support. Alice’s campaigns, and the remit of the Students’ Union President, will continue to be championed and discharged as much as possible by the three remaining sabbatical officers - Inés, Max, and Tom.

Alice said: “A massive thank you to our engaged academic representatives; you have been amazing to work with. I wish all our students the best of luck with their studies and futures.”

While we are saddened to see Alice step down, we understand and respect her decision. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and know that she will continue to achieve great things.
